In the past few years, German automotive tuning company Manhart has transformed stock models from Audi, Tesla and Lamborghini. The shop’s craftspeople taken on the occasional sedan — their approach to the Model 3 should get the blood of any track-minded commuter pumping — but they appear to especially like SUVs and crossovers.

Manhart has used the production BMW X6 as a foundation before, with a little help from Polish tuning shop Carlex. The firm’s newest tuning kit tackles the performance version of the potent SUV: the X6 Competition. The result is the striking MHX6 700.

The company ekes more power out of the X6 Competition, increasing the horsepower to 730 and the torque to 664 pound-feet; performance is improved with new tires and springs. But for this tuning company visuals are part of the fun, and Manhart’s dramatic house style takes the foreground with new wheels, exterior and interior carbon fiber components and trim, and graphics.
