A transitional year for prominent R&B slash hip-hop purveyor Drake. The pop star got busy early on selling off his extended compound in the horse-friendly Los Angeles community of Hidden Hills, pricing the whole caboodle at $22.2 million, and concentrating his investment in one property instead of several: the Beverly Hills Post Office estate of Robbie Williams, which he picked up to the tune of $75 million.

Drake’s Hidden Hills compound didn’t sell in one stroke, however. He handed off the auxiliary properties in fairly short order to NFL champ Matthew Stafford for an above-ask $11 million. The main property, which the singer titled ‘Yolo’, took a bit longer to find a new owner, but finally closed in the last third of June for $12 million against an initial ask of $14.8 million.

The estate has seven bedrooms and nine baths across at least 12,500 sq. ft. of interiors. It’s an ornate living style, with a Tudor-inspired theme throughout, a 2,000 sq. ft. master, three wet bars, and a large theater. It’s the outdoor recreational amenities that make it stand out, however; the water park-like complex is the star of the 3.11 acres of grounds, and features a grotto and an 80-foot water slide.

Drake has released seven studio albums; every single one of them reached the top of the charts in the U.S. and Canada. The most recent Honestly, Nevermind, was released last month. The one before that, Certified Lover Boy, came out in September of last year.
