This month, Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine and model Behati Prinsloo hefted the heavyweight Pacific Palisades estate they purchased four years ago onto the open market; the property is tagged at $57.5 million. The couple closed on the expansive property just before the end of 2018, paying $31.95 million, and engaged in a stem-to-stern revision.

The listing comes only a few months after the couple sold their Montecito estate for $28.5 million. That sale was something of a quiet coup; the couple paid $22.7 million for the property, and apparently conducted few revisions before flipping it. The house’s turnkey style was classical and easily saleable Montecito, and remained that way when it changed hands, rustic timber and all.

The ten-bed Pac Pal property was presumably a personal residence rather than a solid flip opportunity, and the pair conducted an overhaul to taste. As it stands, the living spaces feature a general contemporizing of its vintage details — it dates to 1940 — and therefore one can spot temporal collisions various and sundry: a Tudor fireplace contrasted with newer fixtures, steel-framed doors and a general brightening in one of the property’s rooms, and time-weathered exposed rafters in the spa.

There are three structures on the estate’s three acres, making it a bona fide lifestyle property for the extravagance set. Amenities include a basketball half-court, a gym, a lounge with a three-stool bar, a theater, a massive owner’s suite, and a wealth of outdoor diversions including a pool area with a marvelous secluded feel.

Maroon 5 has sold over 135 million albums. All of their studio albums made their way to the Top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart; two made it to No. 1, and three peaked at No. 2. The band’s most recent release is last year’s Jordi. Their 2022 World Tour is currently underway.
