The Hidden Hills modern of Gene Simmons may’ve sold late last year after a fairly short open market sojourn, but his main residence, a mansion in the Beverly Hills Post Office area, has yet to connect with a buyer. It hit the market last October with a $22 million price tag.

But it’s soon to be springtime, and there’s a bit more optimism in the air than there was last fall, so Simmons has relisted the property at $25 million. The 13,405 sq. ft. mansion on the 1.84-acre Beverly Hills Post Office lot contains seven bedrooms and nine baths.

The way scale is evoked in the European manor-inspired home is occasionally arresting, and the soaring bay of glass panes that draws the eye when looking at the façade plays out in the great room as a potent sense of breathing room, with second floor galleries overlooking the central, ground floor living area. The kitchen is another massive space, with lengthy island and counters.

Built-in shelving, set after set of French doors, hipped and coffered ceilings, wall niches, and plank hardwood floors are other details of the home. The pool and outdoor living area in the back of the property also features high on the list of the home’s more appealing elements; a natural stone patio, elevated spa, and woodsy landscaping, with the master balcony surveying all from a discreet vantage point.
