Screenwriting pair Willard Huyck and Gloria Katz have found the right buyer for their Brentwood mansion. After spending almost a year on the market, the Los Angeles-area home recently sold for $13 million.

The Oscar-nominated writers of “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” and “American Graffiti” originally listed their 1939-built home for $14.75 million.

The four-bedroom Spanish-style estate is packed with period details, and suffused with warmth as a result. Abundant original tile, exposed beams, stucco, and a spectacular staircase with solid balustrade and ornamental riser tiles are among the strikingly romantic details.

The intoxicatingly charming 5,200-square-foot residence was designed by Cliff May and Wallace Frost. The home is considered a seminal example of the style.

Guests will be naturally drawn to the eclectic living room with built-ins and the expansive kitchen that’s ideal for entertaining. The future residents will also enjoy almost 1.5 acres of lush grounds, tennis court, and swimming pool.
