Out with the new and in with the old? Montblanc’s new Meisterstück Sfumato Collection shows that artistic techniques from the past can be stylish too. Inspired by a Renaissance painting technique created by Leonardo Da Vinci called “sfumato,” these purses, briefcases, wallets, and accessories feature delicate shading and subtle ombre tones. With a sleek and sophisticated mix of tradition and modern style, the designers at Montblac’s Pelletteria in Florence utilized ancient color techniques to develop this all-new accessory collection.

Four layers of paint are applied to each leather piece during the extensive leather coloring process. Since each product is hand painted before assembly, customers are getting a one-of-a-kind piece of art. Modern metal accents and compartments for storage make the purses and briefcases both convenient and fashionable. Collection items come in anthracite, rich brown, and navy blue. Crafted from the finest calfskin in bold colors, this collection is a staple for any closet.
