Nothing says “custom” more than handpicked home appliances and accessories. Plumbing and building product manufacturer American Standard is making home customization easier with its DXV line of metal 3D printed faucets. New technology in 3D printing allows for advanced designs that blend both style and function.

Pieces from the DXV line are crafted using a 3D printing method called laser sintering that uses a computer-guided laser beam to fuse powdered metal into unique shapes. After nearly 24 hours, the faucet is sanded and polished. The designers use computational fluid dynamic technology to insure efficient water flow.

American Standard DXV faucets will be available in the next year.
