Back on the open market this summer is the Malibu beachfront billionaire bottler Alkiviades David has had on and off the market going on two years now.

David picked up the four-bedroom, five-bath property in the spring of 2019 for $19.1 million, and put it up for sale two years later tagged at $28.5 million. Since that initial listing, the property has never seen a price snip. And it returns to the marketplace this summer at that figure.

Perched on a prime lot in the seaside city’s esteemed Colony neighborhood, the little estate retreat dates to 1974. It includes a detached guest house, and a courtyard-like deck between the two structures. The other more salient feature of the property at large is its collection of works by pop artist Alec Monopoly.

The interior of the main house is 70s well-heeled beach bum: breezy and refined, and very relaxed, the main living area is brightened or starlit by rows of series skylights, while a wealth of hardwood — plank for floors, walls and ceilings, and exposed ceiling timber — brings a driftwood feel to the living style that is jarringly disrupted by the Monopoly pieces and occasional forays into glam glitz.

Outdoor living spaces beachside include an elevated deck with glass balustrades for wind protection, and an upper-level terrace.

David’s net worth was estimated at nearly $3 billion a couple of years ago.
