A lavish Beverly Hills modern owned by fashion maven Maurice Marciano appeared for sale recently. The property, which offers five bedrooms and eight baths across 10,969 sq. ft. of interiors, is priced at $27.5 million.

The house, which sits on a .62-acre lot in the Trousdale Estates neighborhood, is a slick trophy home completed in 2015. Glassy, tough, and sophisticated, its interiors begin with a large water feature, with an enclosed catwalk traversing it and connecting its wings. Transparency is a fundamental, and materials and textural expressions represent a continuing narrative as the home develops. Linear fireplaces in individual accent walls, hardwood and stone tile floors, and a glass-enclosed staircase are among the details at work inside.

Amenities in this house cover a lot of ground—topping the list are a sauna, spa, gym, two-island kitchen, and lower entertainment space with a full-length bar.

Marciano — a co-founder of fashion house Guess — has owned the home for about six years. It is one of several notably extravagant estates in the storied corner of Los Angeles to come and go from his portfolio. An 11-bedroom mansion previously owned by Marciano has been for sale by current owner Steve Wynn for about two years now, and at last listing asked $100 million. Another, a Tuscan-inspired villa in the Beverly Hills Post Office neighborhood, went to R&B/rap artist Drake earlier this year for $75 million.
