Jaguar’s 2021 lineup will include a revised F-Pace SVR. The automaker introduced the SUV variant back in 2018, targeting the daily driver with a heavy foot, and the vehicle quickly became a top seller for the company…not least because it represents a middle ground between production Jag and the company’s marketing apogee: the Special Vehicle Operations custom division. A brush-up was in order.

The SVR—that is, Special Vehicle Racing—is a Jag invention that brings the British firm into line with the other performance-oriented SUV models out there. In the European market, all major manufacturers have similar models to offer, and they sell well. Jag’s candidate is a high-performer indeed; the model uses a supercharged, 5L V8 that delivers 550 horsepower and 502 pound-feet of torque. The SVR can reach 60 MPH in 3.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 176.

For the upcoming model year, performance and tech features received the most attention, which of course stands to reason. The SVR’s lines have been tightened up, with both front and rear ends coming off as more concise and a lot cleaner. Larger air intakes and spoiler aid the car’s downforce for 2021. The F-Pace SVR receives more acute steering, better suspension, and a brake system that’s more suited to the racing-inspired design.

When it comes to tech, the SVR now arrives with a 12.3-inch HD touchscreen, the latest Pivi Pro infotainment and driver display, a new wheel, and sport seats. And Jag’s SV Premium Palette colors are among the options unique to the variant.

The 2021 F-Pace SVR is due in dealerships this winter.
