A three-level home in the Gulf Coast resort community of Santa Rosa, Florida, appeared on the open market this summer courtesy of country music star and astute businessman Luke Bryan. The panhandle property — evidently the most distinguished home in the area — has five bedrooms and five baths to offer, and spans over an acre in all. It is priced at $14.95 million.
The 4,645 sq. ft. house dates to 1994. Showing off a laid-back architectural style that mixes farmhouse, traditional coastal, and modern. Its living style is certainly indoor/outdoor; its first and second doors feature wraparound balconies overlooking the water and rear balconies as well, and there is a private balcony off the third-floor master suite as a final word.
The home’s interiors are cleanly modern but infused with traditional rustic charm. The wide-plank pine floorboards are stained the shade of goldenrod honey, and show circular saw marks which may be authentic or post-installation cosmetic; it doesn’t matter, the atmosphere is enhanced, and the otherwise white and off-white is given the basis of earth and texture necessary for a more relaxed ambience. In the living room, the effect comes to a head with a frame of exposed ceiling timber that echoes the floors, as well as tongue and groove and a Spanish Colonial-style chandelier.
Capping the amenities list is the master, specifically the ‘covered porch’ section of its balcony, which simultaneously offers porch-swing relaxation and a bird’s-eye view of the property’s 95 feet of beachfront, and far beyond.
