The Ferrari SF90 Stradale has been ravaging roadways for about four years now. The model’s title translates as ‘Street,’ and a road-legal racer-cred gloss of the supercar can be gleaned from even a layman’s glance.

Ferrari likes the model too, naturally, and this spring announced a new, limited-edition version: the SF90 XX. The XX line, which had heretofore been restricted to the race track, has been unleashed upon the world. Notable examples of the XX program include the FXX K Evo.

Available in hard-top and optional-top versions, the XX variant of the Stradale features a slightly more contemporary look by way of new, slimmed headlamps in front, and a longer rear section with a new light bar.

The XX variant of the SF90 Stradale augments existing performance features by tuning the model’s native hybrid powertrain—designed around a V8 and three electric motors—and wringing an extra 30 horsepower from it, for a maximum available horsepower of 1,016. It also adds a dramatic fixed rear wing which contributes to the car’s impressive downforce rating: 1,169 pounds at 155 MPH. The all-electric range of the SF90 XX remains constant at 16 miles.

The power enhancements help take the SF90 Stradale XX hard top from 0-62 in 2.3 seconds, shaving two-tenths of a second off the production SF90 Stradale’s basic performance number.
