Breaking Bad mythmaker Bryan Cranston listed the house he had custom built in Ventura County, California, during the heyday of his work on the 2010s AMC crown jewel. The modern beachfront home was completed in 2013, has been titled ‘3 Palms’, and features two levels of living area.

The 2,450 sq. ft. house contains three bedrooms. A look inside reveals polished concrete floors, large sliding glass doors, and industrial flourishes. Midcentury modern touches are present, but the effect is far from overkill.

The combination living area is a double-height space, and features a second-floor overlook and a reading nook; an understated kitchen with custom cabinetry and a dayroom area overlooking the water complete the shared spaces. The master suite contains a walk-in closet, and a bath with a steam shower and soaking tub.

By far the most interesting design element of this newer build is its green profile. The home is extremely energy-efficient, and is powered by solar panels; it is billed as a true net-zero build. Also of note is the fact that many of the home’s furnishings were custom made for it, lending a turnkey cohesion to the overall living style.

Outdoor spaces include a first-floor patio and a second-floor balcony.
