This spring, we had a look at one of the more interesting limited edition offerings from Aston Martin and Zagato: the Twins, courtesy of R-Reforged, a coupe and convertible set that resurrected the limited V12 Zagato that appeared early in the last decade.

At that time, the venerable British automotive firm revealed essential details about the cars, which collectively carry as a full name the Aston Martin Vantage V12 Zagato Heritage TWINS by R-Reforged. The fact that the set follows the Zagato/Aston build with a few alterations along the way; that the body of coupe and roadster is built with carbon fiber; that the V12 in each delivers 600 horsepower, a roughly 15% boost from the Aston Zagato; and that the set will set back collectors $2.2 million are the basics.

With the delivery of the first set—which went to Zagato scion, CEO and spiritual leader Andrea Zagato and his wife Marella—comes additional information about the pair. A few notable details excluded from the initial reveal that R-Reforged did make small design alterations to the 2011 V12 Zagato build, including the addition of downforce-enhancing elements, as well as suspension tweaks. The number produced remains a constant, however; there will only be 19 sets made.

This summer, R-Reforged announced another Aston project: the Aston Martin CALLUM Vanquish 25. We’re looking forward to the next collaborative effort of this young bespoke automotive firm and the folks at Gaydon.
