Dwyane Wade and Gabrielle Union Asking $29M for Miami Mansion After Price Cut

Retired Miami Heat sharpshooter Dwyane Wade and his wife, actress Gabrielle Union, dropped the price on their Miami mansion this month, reducing the ask from $32.5 million to $29 million. The couple has had the home on the open market for about three months.

The home is designed in the Florida Mediterranean style, and boasts a substantial footprint: interior living spaces measure over 11,500 square feet. It begins with a covered arcade front walk that boasts a vaulted timber ceiling, an invitational prologue.

The interior design style is contemporary rustic, beginning with what appears to be a reclaimed front door. As the home progresses, distressed plank hardwood, wood trim, exposed beams and an occasional exposed joist, and slate tile are added to the mix.

The shared living area is expansive and quite open. The living room boasts niche built-ins, and a series of arched double doors that open to a loggia; the kitchen features custom cabinetry in natural-finished hardwood, a large island with a limestone cap.

The 6 bedrooms and 11 baths in the house include a master suite that boasts a creative workspace. Amenities in the home include a wine cellar and a salon, but the outdoor living spaces deserve special attention—a cabana with a summer kitchen and bar, an expansive terrace, a pool, and an oceanfront boardwalk meandering by a deep-water dock on Biscayne Bay.

Dwyane Wade spent the bulk of his career with the heat—15 seasons, including the last two seasons he played professionally. The 13-time NBA All-Star retired this year, moving his family to a well-appointed mansion in the Los Angeles area.
