It’s been two years since Mercedes-Benz unveiled the EQC 400, and the car’s arrival in U.S. dealerships is on the horizon. In advance of its appearance in the flesh, the automaker has announced pricing and trim details for the electric crossover.

The base sticker of $69K says much about Mercedes’ approach to electric and autonomous vehicle technology. The 400 4Matic model presents EV tire-kickers with a lot of bang for the buck. From creature comforts that include 64-color LED ambient lighting to a 40 minute/80% charge time and 3-year network subscription, the EQC is intended to make the decision to go ‘electric, Mercedes style’ much easier.

The EQC is powered by front and rear axle motors, which collectively produce 402 horsepower and 561 lb-ft of torque, enough to take it to 60 in 4.1 seconds. It is AWD, features a sophisticated and customizable regenerative braking system, and boasts an adaptive torque system. Inside the cabin, a pair of 10.25” displays include a touchscreen, and there are touchpads on the wheel and console.

Expect to see the EQC 400 arrive in the spring of next year.
