Miami Heat’s Justise Winslow Spends $3.3M in South Florida

Miami Heat point guard Justise Winslow picked up a new residence in Coral Gables this fall. Winslow spent $3.3 million on the villa, which dates to 2008.

The Italian-style home’s appeal is that it belies its vintage; its ivy-covered façade and its nifty, classically Floridian style—enhanced by what look to be reclaimed clay roof tiles—come off as decidedly period. A recessed entryway capped with an arch makes for an inviting starting point to the living style.

The interiors veer into a more contemporary feel, but the emphasis continues to rest on sustaining a convincing fantasy, and the living spaces only serve to enhance the intensely romantic feel of the place. Hardwood floors, French doors, and a staircase with a wrought-iron balustrade contrast with LED-backlit tray ceilings and recessed fixtures, but the living style errs on the side of charming, straying into whimsy in the color and design choices of the kitchen and baths.

The exterior of the home follows suit, with a colonnade porch, a splendid master suite balcony overlooking the roof and jungle canopy tangle, gardens with koi pond and water feature, and varied plantings all accumulating into a thoroughly escapist feel.

Winslow’s professional career launched in 2015, when he transitioned from Duke University to the Heat. He was 10th overall in that year’s NBA draft.
