Jacob & Co Marks Bugatti Partnership With $524K Timepiece

Bugatti recently started a new partnership with Jacob & Co. The two companies have revealed the results of their first collaboration: two new limited-edition luxury watches which target those who appreciate both brands and have the means to prove it.

Many were shocked to learn that the French automaker ended its relationship with Parmigiani Fleurier in order to pair with the American watch and jewelry brand. But the decision moved Bugatti away from classic, and into full-on brash, aligning them with a progressive sensibility.

The companies debuted the timepieces at this year’s Baselworld. Both are essentially Bugatti-themed, of course. And both look strikingly contemporary. The Twin Turbo Furious stands out with a sleek dial complete with turquoise accents, the Bugatti logo, a “Fuel” indicator for measuring the power reserve, with French colors in honor of the automaker’s heritage. Of the 39 timepieces available, 18 will be crafted from carbon fiber, 18 will come in rose gold, and 3 will be clad in diamonds. Customers can expect to spend around $524,400.

The Bugatti Chrono Edition Limitee 110 Ans is much more affordable: it’s priced at about $36K. Its design highlights Bugatti’s founding, and the sporty timepiece boasts a carbon case also accented with the colors of the French flag on the dial. Just 110 examples will be available.
