One of the most anticipated new vehicles of the 2018 auto market is the BMW X2.

The luxury automaker’s new crossover boasts the classic elegance expected of the German brand mixed with a chic and contemporary build. Departing boldly from the more classic designs of past X models, there is something undeniably funky, fun, and fresh about the new BMW.

Standout features on the X2 like the signature kidney grill, long hood, round fog lamps, and steep raked windshield give the X2 a singular identity. And a new palette of color options only enhances the effect: Misano Blue, Sunset Orange, Dark Olive, and Galvanic Gold are among choices for the model, a refreshing change from conservative neutrals.

The vehicle’s interior is chic as well, with a number of color and material options, including some in BMW’s bright new hues. The X2 also comes with BMW’s iDrive infotainment system complete with a 6.5-inch display, and the option to add a full-color HUD.

Aside from the X2’s stylish interior and exterior aesthetic, the new crossover boasts plenty of power under the hood. Drivers can select from five four-cylinder engine options available in gas and diesel, as well as six-speed manual or seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearboxes.

Surely one of the most popular options will be the BMW X2 xDrive20i, which is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine producing 192 hp, with a 0-60 leap of 7.7 seconds.

BMW’s X2 is set to debut in showrooms in spring 2018. Pricing has yet to be announced.
