While some die-hard 007 fans might know this, many are unaware that super-spy James Bond holds the rank of Commander in the Royal Navy, and was employed by the ONI before being poached by the SIS.
In honor of the Bond mythos, Omega has introduced its new Omega Seamaster Diver 300M “Commander’s Watch.” The limited-edition timepiece honors Bond’s longtime use of the Seamaster in movies and the character’s long association with the Omega brand.
The sporty watch is the same as the classic Seamaster 300M Diver’s watch, but for the color scheme. This special edition version sees the 41mm case, and Omega caliber 2500 movement with co-axial escapement, paired with a strap that pays homage to the colors of the British Royal Navy.
The patriotic piece boasts a white ceramic dial and a blue ceramic bezel with a Liquidmetal scale. Omega completes the look with the 007 “gun and circle” logo on the rotor and tail of the seconds hand.
U.S. pricing for the Omega timepiece has yet to be announced, but interested buyers should watch closely as only 7,007 pieces will be produced in steel, and only seven will be made in gold.
