To celebrate its 1916 Mikrograph Stopwatch, TAG Heuer has come out with its new 2016 Mikrograph 100th Anniversary, the first Mikrograph timepiece the Swiss watchmaker has made in several years.

The Mikrograph is remembered in history as the first stopwatch that gave a 1/100th of a second resolution. The 2016 Mikrograph 100th Anniversary timepiece recalls the styling of the original, even boasting an almost like-for-like crown and pusher at the 12 o’clock on the watch just like the stopwatch on which it’s based. The dial is also modeled after the original, with black numbers and markings and blue hands.

The brand new watch features a bespoke two-section steel case, with the inner case able to be mounted on a desk stand or dashboard mount to serve as an actual stopwatch.

TAG Heuer will only make 100 examples of the 2016 Milkrograph 100th Anniversary edition timepiece. It will have a $21,000 asking price.
