Luxury automaker McLaren has just unveiled its new McLaren 570S Sprint. The impressive new vehicle is based on the McLaren 570S Coupe, and the new Sprint version makes quite the impression.

McLaren’s new creation made its debut at the Goodwood Festival of Speed, and it’s built for speed with a 3.8-liter twin-turbo V8 engine and a 7-speed SSG transmission. Any engine improvements are unknown, but the new supercar is clearly built for speed.

If the Sprint sports the same output as the road-legal 570S, then it produces a powerful 562 horsepower and 443 lb-ft of torque. The new carbon-fiber MonoCell II chassis also features enhanced cooling thanks to a front center GT3-inspired high-temperature radiator.

Of course, a more aggressive front splitter, a redesigned front bumper, carbon-fiber front drive planes, and a large fixed rear wing give the vehicle a bold, sporty look while also handling corners with ease.

McLaren’s track-designed 570S Sprint also has center-locking wheels and a double wishbone setup, both covered in Pirelli racing rubber. The inside has been completely stripped out, with the exception of a sport seat with a six-point racing harness, a fire extinguisher system, and a FIA-approved roll-cage.

Pricing starts at $217,330 in the UK, but the new McLaren won’t be available until 2017.
