Chopard has continued its relationship with Porsche Motorsport’s World Endurance Championship team and its 919 Hybrid racecar with the second edition of its Superfast Chronograph Porsche 919.

Dubbed the Black Edition, Chopard chose to debut the Superfast Chrono Porsche 919 just in time for the 2016 running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Much like the original Superfast 919 from 2014, the Black Edition 919 comes in the form of a 45mm wide flyback chronograph, but the new edition is complete with a titanium case that has been given a bead-blasted DLC black finish.

The new Porsche 919 timepiece is also equipped with Chopard’s COSC-certified 03.05-M automatic chronograph movement that includes a flyback and a 60-hour power reserve.

Other features of the Superfast Chrono Porsche 919 Black Edition include an anti-reflective sapphire crystal and 100-meter water resistance, and Chopard has placed the new Porsche 919 Black Edition on a black rubber strap with a DLC titanium clasp.

The Superfast Chrono Porsche 919 Black Edition will have a limited-edition run of 100 examples and is available with a price tag of just over $14,300.
