The Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet is already a highly desired vehicle, but when German tuner Brabus gets its hands on a Mercedes, the result is usually pretty astounding, no matter how the car originally came to be.

Brabus revealed its newest version of the Mercedes-Benz Cabriolet at the recent 24 Hours of Le Mans. Brabus has been tuning Mercedes-Benz vehicles, new and old, since 1977, and its new 850 Biturbo Cabrio is another fine addition to the company’s collection.

The engine displacement in the 850 Biturbo was increased from 5.5 to 5.9 liters, and Brabus gave the Mercedes a bevy of other under-the-hood upgrades.

Brabus’ drop-top monster makes 838 horsepower and 848 pound-feet of torque. All that power is sent through a seven-speed automatic transmission, and the result is a zero-to-62 mph time of 3.5 seconds and a top speed of 217 mph, the latter reaching the same levels as a McLaren P1.

While pricing wasn’t offered by the German tuner, interested customers can expect to spend about $180,000 for the S63 Cabriolet before Brabus modifications.
