Taylor Swift Will Live in This $40k/Month Carriage House While Expanding NYC Penthouse

Pop megastar Taylor Swift is set to unleash a series of $535,000 renovations on her Tribeca penthouse on Franklin Street that include structural changes and a partial interior demolition.

Swift will most likely be combining the penthouse and the sixth-floor apartment below it. The Grammy-winner purchased the units from “Lord of the Rings” franchise director Peter Jackson to create what will be a Tribeca mansion.

Jackson did all of the legwork to get the combination done, selling the home with all of the necessary permits and approvals for the renovation. Swift purchased both floors from Jackson for $20 million in 2014.

Swift hasn’t released many photos of the penthouse plans, but it appears there will still be a healthy amount of exposed brick throughout the apartment.

While Swift’s penthouse pad is being super-sized, she will live in a fully-furnished, five-bedroom carriage house on Cornelia Street that was offered as a $39,500-per-month rental.
