Larry Ellison purchased Lanai’s only beach resort back in 2012 from David Murdock. He’s been busy renovating and updating it ever since and now it’s set to reopen.

The island resort has been refinished with a contemporary-Hawaiian look and additional major overhauls that cost several million dollars. One of the newest features is an adults-only pool with private cabanas and waterfalls in the entirely re-imagined resort wing. A Nobu restaurant was also added, and a redesigned lobby was completed in the long renovation.

Lanai’s revitalized Four Seasons Resort is set to officially reopen in February with 217 guest rooms set beside a cliff-top golf course overlooking Manele Bay.
