When you look closely at the Lumio book lamp, it’s no wonder it won the 2015 Red Dot Award for product design. The incredible light looks like a book that’s been open and illuminated, creating a gentle, calming light source.

The sculptural lamp’s diaphanous pleated interior is made from water resistant Tyvek pages, which are lit with an LED. The indoor/outdoor lamp can also be folded into book form for easy travel and a flexible lighting option.

In recent years Lumio has helped to create countless unique and ingenious lighting choices. Designer Max Gunawan particularly looks for ways to optimize light in small spaces.

Lumio was originally funded through Kickstarter and has since continued to develop intuitive and modern lighting solutions.
