Bicycle company Trek has developed a new series of aerodynamic bikes. The Madone 9 has a fully integrated IsoSpeed decoupler to offer amazing dynamics, incredible ride quality and unmatched vertical compliance. The new series’ foundation features the 600 series OCLV (optimum compaction low void), which is an advanced aerospace material made to superimpose weight-saving performance to create a perfect balance between weight and frame.
Designers David Blomme and Jonathan Russell designed every aspect of the bike to minimize drag, including vector wings to enclose cables and a protective shell for the front brake caliper. Built with speed and comfort in mind, even the cables were designed to route through the frame for a sleeker look and more aerodynamic performance. Madone comes complete with an integrated control center with barrel adjusters or a battery port for electronic drivetrain.
