Gulfstream is working on two new jets. The G500 and G600 models aircraft not only offer the luxuries expected from business jets but also keep passengers comfortable with a new pressurized cabin environment.

Ear popping, general queasiness, headaches, and even dizzy spells sometimes occur when ascending into the sky on planes. The G500 and G600 help reduce discomfort by pressurizing the cabin to the point where you will feel like you are merely 4,850 feet off the ground, as opposed to 51,000 feet.

Both planes will be able to fly at a cruise speed of Mach 0.90, which can save up to an hour of travel time. The planes are powered by a quiet PW800 engine that, when combined with their unique wing design, reduce the plane’s fuel emissions and increase efficiency.

Furthering safety, the cockpit features touch-screen technology that allows the pilot and co-pilot to see each other’s actions as well as communicate them.

The first flight for the G500 is expected to take place in 2015. The G600 will not be in the air until 2019 while test flights are conducted.
