High-end camera brand Leica has introduced a blast from the past with its CL Compact Camera.

Although the shooter looks like the brand’s 1970s 35-mm rangefinder, it’s chock-full of modern components and is technically identical to the TL2. The retro aesthetic of the CL comes from its  aluminum/magnesium alloy body.

The L-mount camera boasts a 24-megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor in addition to a Maestro II image processor offering 10 frames per second of continuous shooting. Leica’s special shooter also has an ISO 100 to 50,000 sensitivity paired with a 49-point contrast autofocus.

Even though the TL is geared toward professional photogs, this TL2 is great even for an entry-level photographer; it looks like a shutterbug classic, and it is. Features like a touch-enabled LCD panel, a number of physical buttons, a joystick controller, a second display plate, Wi-Fi photo transfer, and 4K video capabilities make the device incredibly easy to use.

Available starting at $2,795, the newest camera body in Leica’s mirrorless lineup is a fun take on a classic look with all the modern amenities a photographer would need.
