MLB Player Coco Crisp Looks to Turn Two with Second Rancho Mirage Home Listing, This One at $1.9M

Professional baseball free agent Coco Crisp recently listed a second Rancho Mirage house for sale. The home—with an asking price set at $1.9 million—joins Crisp’s other Rancho Mirage property on the market, a sprawling estate priced at $9.995 million listed in May of last year.

Crisp’s real estate addendum in the California resort community dates to the mid 1980’s, and features architecture grounded firmly in the late modernist design style: whitewash, planar lines, an emphasis on natural light, and minimal ornamentation predominate.

The home’s interior is another story.  Abundant and varied stone gives the living spaces a ponderous quality; granite, appealingly mismatched limestone floor tiles, double-sided block fireplace, and stacked stone combine to allow ornamental texture into the house. Hardwood is limited to accents: cabinetry, wall paneling, and the vaulted tray ceilings which provide a motif throughout. There is a heavy emphasis on warm tones, with beige, yellow and gold giving the interior an intense visual impact.

The home measures 8,520 square feet, and contains four bedrooms and 6.5 baths. The master suite features a fireplace and walk-in closet. The master bath features an elevated marble soaking tub, tile floors, and ornate marble vanity.

The home’s exterior features a pool with lagoon-like qualities and connected spa, waterfall features, and desert flora landscaping. The home’s entry gate is nicely inlaid in a solar motif.

Centerfielder Coco Crisp currently plays for the Cleveland Indians.
