Cessna Aircraft Company’s all-new Cessna Citation Latitude plane has begun deliveries. The subsidiary brand of Textron Aviation’s new super-midsize jet measures at almost 6.5-feet wide, which is the widest cabin in the Citation line.
At 21 feet long, there’s more than enough space for up to nine passengers, including 6 feet of headroom and a flat floor. Passengers will especially enjoy extra-large windows and a new cooling-and-pressurization system that helps flyers feel as if they are flying at significantly lower altitudes.
The Latitude is powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW306D1 turbofan engines, which means the jet can travel as many as 3,280 miles without stopping. Fast cruising speeds of up to 513 mph and the ability to land safely on runways less than 3,000 feet means it can zoom to almost any airport.
Pilots will also enjoy the upgraded synthetic vision technology and Garmin G5000 touchscreen avionics for easier navigation. Cessna’s Citation Latitude is available for $16.25 million.
