Canadian automotive armoring firm Inkas, who transitioned from industry and government contract only to commercial a few short years ago, recently announced a revised protective sheath for the Land Rover Range Rover.

The company’s second-generation ballistics treatment for the flagship regular-production SUV is, according to the company website, ‘undetectable’ despite being ‘full perimeter’; to be sure, even a cursory survey of the security-enhanced model reveals not a whit of its kit. Inkas has developed an armoring process which is svelte and lightweight, and the result is a degree of covert protection that may be unparalleled. We can only assume it is also proprietary.

The new version of the Inkas Range Rover is protected to BR6 level, which includes 7.62mm rifle fire and two simultaneous blasts from DM51 grenades detonated under the chassis. Options for the vehicle include oxygen filtration, fire suppression, and siren/PA system.
