Sandra Bullock’s south-of-L.A. lifestyle retreat popped up on the open market to close out this summer. The two-time Academy Award-winning actress has put the expansive property up for sale with an asking price of $6 million. The four-bedroom, six-bath hilltop idyll is reinforced by walking paths, orchards and gardens.

The 91-acre home is located east of Pala Mesa, and is anchored by a 1990-built Spanish-style adobe ranch designed around an enclosed central courtyard; all roads lead to this primary outdoor living area, which features a fountain centerpiece and is floored in stone.

The property’s interior living spaces are more refined than rustic, although there are certainly enough SoCal ranch atmospherics to steep the living style in romance. Occasionally, details are overtly luxurious and extravagantly comfortable; the kitchen boasts a broad black-finished La Cornue installation amid a floor of deck-like plank, a vaulted beamed ceiling inset with skylights, and a curving window bench that may partially serve as dayroom seating.

The poolside fireplace patio overlooking the property’s large lawn is an appealing destination outside the home’s courtyard. The acreage also incorporates some hobbyist ranch hardware, including a chicken coop and a barn. Fruit-bearing trees on the estate include avocado, citrus and olive trees, with eucalyptus and floral gardens enriching the landscaping profile and visual beauty of this very amenable escape in San Diego County.

Judging by her last couple of films, Bullock remains one of the most in-demand actresses in Hollywood. And she seems to pair well with Brad Pitt, if the box office is to be believed. The Lost City (Pitt, Channing Tatum, Daniel Radcliffe) grossed $190 million on a budget of $68 million; Bullet Train (Pitt, Joey King) brought in $223 million on a budget of $90 million.
