Following the recent favorable turn in his career, MLB shortstop Carlos Correa has listed his home in Houston, home of the Astros, a team of which he is now an alumnus.

In late March, Correa hancocked his contract with the Minnesota Twins — it’s a paycheck worth better than $100 million at the end of its final inning — and played his first game with the team a few days later. Figuratively, the writing was already on the legal papyrus; weeks before, Correa had listed his 3,657 square-footer in Houston’s Hyde Park neighborhood. Correa purchased the residence in the high summer of 2017, according to public records.

The house, which is on the market for $1.45 million, contains three bedrooms and five baths. The 2012-built modern features an exterior that’s partially clad in brick, and a cherry-finished door that opens to a two-story foyer dominated by gray tones and hard surfaces. The luxe monastic feel continues throughout the home, expressed most forcibly by the living room’s concrete fireplace accent wall and raised hearth and the weathered-looking plank hardwood of the master bedroom.

Amenities and creature comforts include a covered patio with a fireplace, pool and hot tub.
