Guitar slinger Dave Keuning is the new owner of an inviting aerie in Hollywood Hills. The Killers founding member paid a whisker over $9.57 million for the 8,385 sq. ft. home, which was completed in 1989 and features Spanish and modern architectural cues.

A late 20th-century build, but the details of the style accumulate into a convincing whole; raw vaulted ceilings, exposed beams, and arched doorways throughout are among the more disarming features of this home’s interior living style. The ornamental ceiling in the dining room is particularly evocative. Black-finished steel-framed doors and windows keep things up to date.

The home’s amenities include a screening room and a wine tasting room with a floor-to-ceiling storage rack that’s really quite beautiful, but the centerpiece is the pool and patio area and its fine views of downtown Los Angeles.

The Killers, who’s probably never been involved in any homicides, have nonetheless managed killer sales of nearly 30 million records worldwide. They’ve released seven studio albums, all of which made it to the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart. Their latest, Pressure Machine, was released this summer.
