A condo unit in the Twin Cities was, until recently, owned by former VP and presidential hopeful Walter Mondale.

The loft unit, which contains two bedrooms and two baths in its 2,155 sq. ft., was listed on the open market in late September with a $1.75 million price tag. But it wasn’t destined to remain for sale for very long; it is currently in pending status.

The unit is located in Stone Arch Lofts, a former industrial building that was converted in 2000. Its interiors feature a bright white treatment, with oversize windows painted in a darker shade of red.

The main living area is an open space with dark-finished floors, a fireplace with a neoclassical mantel, built-in shelves, and track lighting; in includes a cozy kitchen and a dining room, and opens to a balcony. The master bedroom features views of the Minneapolis skyline.

Mondale, a Minneapolis native and former ambassador, passed away this spring.
