Bugatti Delivers Final Example of Its $6M Divo

Exotic carmaker Bugatti ended the limited-production run of its Divo model this summer. To close out the era of the company’s most recent model, all of which wore custom cosmetics, Bugatti produced an example in ‘EB 110 LM Blue’ with dark blue carbon accents and flat-finished gold metallic rims. As heraldic colors, the final Divo comes dressed in robes that suggest loyalty and generosity.

Bugatti highlights the three-year reign of the Divo as a period marked by Bugatti’s first 21st-century coachbuilding project. It was also a fairly quiet project, which focused the cachet of exclusivity of the brand’s development: the model was marketed to certain Chiron owners, who were given the opportunity of ownership. The 40 examples were spoken for in a matter of weeks.

Since that time — the model was introduced at Pebble Beach in 2018 — Bugatti has sculpted this niche into a rarified space of increasingly pricey and exclusive models, with one-off designs like La Voiture Noire and very limited production designs like the Centodieci, produced in a 10-example run, appearing, as well as the specialized evocations on the popular Chiron model that have drawn attention to a certain aspect of the marque’s history.
