The charmingly eccentric and rambling Canyon estate of Scottish-born comedian and talk-show host Craig Ferguson has smitten an eligible buyer. The property changed hands this week after more than two years on the market. According to Dirt, actor Chris Diamantopoulos, who plays oddball tech billionaire Russ Hanneman on the critically acclaimed Silicon Valley, is the buyer.

Ferguson listed the property initially in January of 2019, asking six mil on the nose. A series of price-prunings brought the ask down to $4.2 million by last spring, and the property ultimately changed hands for $3.925 million.

Although the compound’s guest houses were added possibly decades after the main house, the cool little estate’s primary residence went up in 1904; it features craftsman design elements. A courtyard with a fountain centerpiece is the outdoor space common to the three residences, although an extensive array of decks and terraces surrounds the big house.

Inside the home, a wonderfully eccentric layout is the main attraction. Details follow in kind, with the kitchen both buoyant and businesslike by way of green tile backsplashes and stainless, and rustic elements showing up in exposed ceiling timber, casement windows, and the odd barn door.

One of the outdoor staircases descends to the pool and step-up cook-and-dine deck, which takes in canyon views, while a grassy recreation area is positioned a bit further above sea level.

Ferguson currently hosts television game show The Hustler.

Diamantopoulos’ upcoming projects include Red Notice, with Dwayne Johnson, Gal Gadot, and Ryan Reynolds.
