This 1973-built, six-bedroom home in Hidden Hills is the new residence of rocker Richard Marx and Daisy Fuentes. The musician and former MTV personality picked up the renovated traditional for $8.95 million, according to Dirt.

The purchase came at about the same time as the couple’s sale of their rustic Malibu Mediterranean-style. The pair had listed that property in February, ultimately selling it this month. The sale was likely surefire at the time Marx and Fuentes signed on the dotted line to take possession of this home.

The new property comes with a modest improvement in lot size; the outgoing home sat on a 1.44-acre parcel, while the new one is perched on 1.64 acres. The area offers more greenery generally, and the house is ensconced in a further barrier of trees and shrubs beyond the property lines.

The home’s interiors are modern and urbane. Fold-away glass is a constant in the common area, so the living style rests nearly as much on outdoor living as indoor. A step-down living room with a wet bar and a small fireplace, a kitchen with a staggered, marble- and wood-capped waterfall island, and a pantry with tiled walls and built-in inset shelving catch the eye as notable spaces.

A good chunk of the acreage is used for the property’s motor court, but there’s plenty of space left over for a large pool-and-patio recreation area, lawns, and landscaping to create a secluded and discrete overall living style.

Marx topped the Billboard 200 chart with 1989’s Repeat Offender. His latest studio release is last year’s Limitless.
