Rob Gronkowski is the new owner of this New York City condo residence. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end paid $7 million for the property, according to an article in the New York Post. The 2,652 sq. ft. unit was relisted in the first week of April with a $8.75 million asking price, according to public records.

The West Side building is part of the Hudson Yards development. It was completed in 2019, and is the highest building in the development, rising 92 stories above terra firma. It features a limestone façade, a glass exterior, and amenities that include the Equinox Hotel, Club and Spa, which boasts indoor and outdoor pools and a trio of restaurants.

The building’s design is residential from the 53rd floor, making views from all homes in the building jetliner, or nearly; Gronkowski’s takes in a sweeping vista of cityscape and river. Interiors of all units in the building were designed by AD100; highlights include 10’ 10” ceilings, French oak plank, custom kitchen cabinetry and marble countertops, and a master bath in quartzite.

35 Hudson Yards contains 143 units in all.

Gronkowski won three Super Bowl rings with the New England Patriots and was set to enjoy the South Florida lifestyle after retiring and purchasing a condo in Miami in 2019. Then his old pal Tom Brady came calling. The pair won Super Bowl LV with the Bucs.
