Actor John Cho is the new owner of this 1920’s-vintage Spanish-style home in Los Angeles. The star of the Harold & Kumar series of films—whose more recent silver screen projects include 2020’s The Grudge—paid $3.6 million for the 4,307 sq. ft. residence.

The home’s narrative is a long one. The main entrance opens onto a classic Spanish-style foyer with a curved staircase. Outside a tiled loggia that gives way to a lovely and very secluded courtyard with a pool, a water feature, an outdoor fireplace and a few majestic and towering palms. Balconies and a master terrace contribute to the period feel and indoor/outdoor living style. Stained glass windows and an original fireplace in the living room also catch the eye.

The four bedrooms include a pair of guest suites, and the home also features a maid’s suite. A detached studio on the property has been converted to a home office.

A marvelous acquisition.

Cho starred in 2018 mystery thriller Searching alongside Debra Messing. The film was a major success, grossing over $75 million against a budget of $880,000.
