Gemini, the massive chunk of the Palm Beach area that was until very recently owned by the Ziff family, closed this month for $94.2 million. The family has owned the long stretch of land in Manalapan—the land involved totals nearly sixteen acres—for about thirty years. The property appeared on the market in 2015 with a sanguine ask of $200 million.

The idyllic spot had been transformed into an Edenic garden by original owner, publisher William Bernhard Ziff Jr., and contains a particularly beautiful stretch of storied Florida Highway A1A. It had been on the market for about five years without selling, and earlier this year a zoning agreement had raised the possibility of subdividing the property into four lots in order to facilitate the process of marketing and selling the singular estate.

The various residences at Gemini collectively contain thirty-three bedrooms and at least thirty-nine baths. The main house is a 62,000 sq. ft., 12-bedroom mansion in a vaguely Mediterranean style, while the ‘Mango House’ is a seven-bedroom jungle getaway. Supporting homes include a pair of four-bed cottages. Additionally, there is a four-unit staff apartment building on the estate.

Gemini’s overall footprint features 1,200 feet of Atlantic oceanfront and 1,300 feet of frontage on Lake Worth. Amenities include elevators, a media room, offices and libraries. Outdoor amenities on the property include PGA golf, a tennis court, a spa and fitness center, multiple terraces, and a lakeside dock and pier.
