Actor Zach Woods is the new owner of the French Provincial-style home in Studio City, California. The star of The Office and Silicon Valley shelled out $1.73 million for the bright, refined house, which contains three bedrooms and three baths in just under 6,000 sq. ft. of interior living space.

The 1946-built home begins with a gated doorway set into a privacy wall. A walkway wanders through landscaping that is very lush; it is designed to surround the living style—and contextualize it—with green and growing.

Inside the house, details include tile or hardwood floors, white walls and ceilings, and French doors. The shared spaces culminate in a living room with a vaulted ceiling with exposed trusses. Renovations to the kitchen, bedrooms and baths show a great deal of care and hands-on craftsmanship; details include a shower stall with a herringbone floor, custom hardwood kitchen cabinetry, and louvered blinds completing a guest room’s windows and outside door.

The exterior living area features patio space floored in stone tile, with a swimming pool and a pergola-capped outdoor living area hemmed in nicely by the property’s landscaped border.

Woods’ latest film was Downhill; the black comedy drama came out in January and also starred Julia Louis-Dreyfus and Will Ferrell.
