With his nine-figure professional transition from Arizona to St. Louis secured many months ago, first baseman Paul Goldschmidt has put his home in Scottsdale up for sale earlier this year. Goldy was looking for a buyer to lob $2.6 million for the property when it hit the market in January; two months later, it sold for about $50K under ask.

The 2006-built Southwestern-style home shows a charming face to the street, with a tile roof, a bay window, a Juliet balcony, and a set of brick front steps.

The interiors feature natural-toned plank floors, and exposed beams. French doors, arches, and the odd leaded window express the wide-open shared living space. Ornament is kept to a minimum, allowing the splash of creamy periwinkle in the kitchen to stand out dramatically in relief.

The five bedrooms and six baths show a bit more color; most are given a blue treatment. In the master, a set of French doors opens to the Juliet balcony, and the bath receives a double vanity. A games room and an outdoor pool and patio space round out the property.

Goldschmidt was traded to the Cardinals at the end of 2018. He signed the $130 million contract in March of last year.
