It was 1984 when the BMW M5 first became a growling performance presence on the road. As the culmination of the decades of M5 history, and all the stimulation the model has provided to the aggressive highway driver, BMW is bringing the limited M5 “Edition 35 Years” to a dealer near you for the 2020 model year.

Taking its inspiration from the M5 Competition, the new special-edition vehicle stuns with a sleek exterior look capped with Frozen Dark Grey II metallic paint. BMW Individual took the reigns on the design, adding a few of their favorite components, including high-gloss M brake calipers, and 20-inch M light alloy Y-spoke wheels in Graphite Grey.

Inside the cabin M Sport seats are covered in Merino black full leather and trimmed with beige accent stitching. Carbon fiber on the center console, door trim, and instrument panel heightens the cosmetic effect, but the slick texture has been colored with gold anodized aluminum. Sill plates with the inscription “M5 Edition 35 Jahre” proclaim edition identification.

Interested buyers can expect to pay $128,995 for the special M5 Edition 35 Years model. Only 35 examples will be made available to American customers.
