Retired Finnish hockey great Teemu Selänne has listed his Orange County equestrian estate for $7 million.

The 1994-built Mediterranean-style residence stretches to 10,000 square feet with five bedrooms and seven baths throughout.

Located in the gated Los Ranchos area of Coto de Caza, the expansive home is set behind gates and is surrounded by a sprawling green lawn. It sits on about six acres of land, and features Spanish-style architecture.

Inside, the home is open and bright. Exposed, polished wood beams and Andalusian flourishes add a little warmth and a touch of the exotic. Room to room flow is excellent, and the home’s ranch feel is expressed in a leisurely, rambling layout.

Amenities are plentiful, and include riding areas, a barn, a tennis court, a three-hole golf course, and a kids playhouse. The home also includes a sauna, and a lagoon-style pool with waterfalls, tropical landscaping, and a stone sunlounge. There is a koi pond on the property.

Guests won’t have any issue finding a place to park thanks to six garages, and there’s also a dedicated guest space above the barn that could also function as staff housing.

Selänne’s career spanned twenty-one seasons and included competitive play in six Olympics. Using his nickname, “The Finnish Flash,” for the commonweal, Selänne lent his name to the Finnish Flash ry charity. The NHL Hall-of-Famer has also opened a popular steakhouse in Laguna Beach, and is working on opening a second restaurant.
