Porsche has officially debuted its highly anticipated 911 Speedster Concept.

The luxury German automaker developed the beautiful new supercar in honor of the 70th anniversary of the company. The Speedster Concept is based on a 911 Carrera 4 Cabriolet, and celebrates “70 years of Porsche Sports Cars” with sleek, intuitive styling and powerful performance from under the hood.

The open-top design makes it a performance car at heart, shirking the need for superfluous additions like a folding roof, or interior amenities like radio or air conditioning, and keeping the aesthetic absolutely driving-focused and without distractions. In fact, the high-end concept car comes with a simple tonneau cover for protecting the vehicle’s interior from the elements.

Just because Porsche stripped the vehicle of anything deemed “extra” doesn’t mean there aren’t beautiful luxury touches. Porsche fans will likely be drawn to the carbon fiber bucket sport seats covered in Cognac leather. The exterior color complements the vehicle’s simplified, classic approach as well: the Speedster Concept is completed with a striking ‘German racing silver’ paint job.
