The incredible Hollywood Hills West home designed for actor Daniel De Jonghe by Lloyd Wright has just sold for $2.375 million.

The famous architect modeled the design for the home off of his father Frank Lloyd Wright’s Taliesin West home in Arizona.

While his father was the more well-known architect, this home Wright designed is surely impressive with a mixture of elements like glass, wood, and stone. The two-bedroom, two-bath home stretches to 2,100 square feet and offers a unique mix of indoor and outdoor elements throughout.

Serving as an example of Wright’s “integrated landscape” aesthetic, the home features large windows, a huge stone fireplace, jutted wood planks, and a look as if the building itself arose from the surrounding mountainous rocks.

Since its construction in 1949, the unique home has undergone renovations by architect John Powell, but much of the original aesthetic is still in place.

While Wright seemed to live beneath the shadow of his successful father, he found success in his own designs, including the first two shells of the Hollywood Bowl and the Wayfarer’s Chapel in Rancho Palos Verdes.
