Kelly Clarkson’s chateau in Tennessee has come up for sale. The pop singer is asking $8.75 million for the estate, which sits about twenty miles northeast of Nashville. Clarkson bought the mansion in 2013 for a little over $2 million; at that time, the property had been on the market for about four years.

Constructed in 2007, the house measures about 20,000 square feet, and contains seven bedrooms and 9.5 baths. It has seen a general revision since Clarkson took ownership, with interior and exterior property design renovations.

The home is a pretty formal statement, beginning with the cavernous foyer with double staircase; the staircases are accented with walnut and wrought iron, and the floor is marble tile. From there, the house is a young star’s comprehensive vision of luxurious living: a formal dining room with a couple of chandeliers, a large media room, a generously proportioned kitchen with breakfast room, a basement games room and bar with stacked stone walls, and a master suite with a dramatic, LED-lit double tray ceiling and a somewhat imposing chandelier distinguish the interior.

The house sits on four acres of private land. The exterior of the property features a salt-water swimming pool and spa, an outdoor double staircase, gazebo, neoclassical pavilion, volleyball court, and deep water dock with boat house. The property includes deeded lake access.

Diva Kelly Clarkson signed with Atlantic last year. Her upcoming album, due out in June, will be an R&B-inspired effort.
